Goldendale, WA (December 23, 2024) – A car crash near Goldendale on Sunday morning left a 60-year-old Vancouver man hospitalized. The collision occurred just after 9:30 a.m. on northbound State Route 97, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
WSP reported that a Chevy Silverado attempted to pass another vehicle on the highway but lost control, striking the second car. Despite the impact, the Chevy was able to leave the scene. The second vehicle, however, was totaled, and its driver was transported to Klickitat Valley Health for treatment of injuries. Fortunately, neither vehicle had additional passengers.
Investigators continue to assess the circumstances leading to the crash, including whether speeding or other factors played a role. No updates have been provided regarding the condition of the injured individual.
