Perry County, MO (December 23, 2024) – Emergency responders attended to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route A and Perry County Road 409 on Sunday night. The incident occurred around 9:15 PM and involved a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2022 Nissan Rogue.
The collision occurred when the Nissan Rogue, driven by a 62-year-old female from Frohna, MO, was traveling southbound and attempted to cross Route A from Perry County Rd 409. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Malibu, driven by an 18-year-old female from Frohna, MO, was traveling eastbound on Route A. The front of the Chevrolet struck the passenger side of the Nissan at the intersection.
First responders, including paramedics and fire crews, provided care to the injured. The driver of the Nissan Rogue sustained injuries and was transported by Mercy Ambulance District to Mercy Perry. A 21-year-old female passenger in the Chevrolet Malibu also sustained injuries and was transported via private vehicle to Mercy Perry for further treatment. Both drivers and the occupant were reportedly wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
The vehicles involved sustained moderate damage and were removed from the scene by local towing services. Authorities from Troop C are actively investigating the cause of the collision.
