Agnos, AR (December 23, 2024) – A multi-vehicle collision in Fulton County claimed the life of one individual and left another injured. The accident occurred at approximately 3:31 p.m. at the intersection of US Highway 62 and Mimosa Estates Circle.
According to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police, the incident began when a 2016 Toyota Sequoia SUV, driven by 36-year-old Jamilia D. West of Ash Flat, collided with the back of a 1991 Chevrolet S10 truck operated by 61-year-old David L. Hobbs, also of Ash Flat. The impact caused Hobbs’ vehicle to be pushed into the opposite lane of traffic, where it was struck by a 2023 GMC Sierra truck.
Hobbs tragically died at the scene as a result of the collision. Emergency responders provided care to Jamilia West, who sustained injuries and was transported to White River Health in Cherokee Village for treatment. The driver of the GMC Sierra was not reported to have sustained injuries.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of David Hobbs during this difficult time, and we wish Jamilia West a full recovery.
