Kidder Township, PA (December 23, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident with injuries occurred on Rt 940 at the I-80 Interchange near mile marker 277 in Kidder Township at approximately 6:55 PM. Emergency responders, including KTPD, Districts 16 and 17, Lake Harmony EMS 1760, Lehighton EMS 5617, and Allpoints Towing, were dispatched to the scene.
The collision resulted in airbag deployment in both vehicles and medical teams worked to assess and treat the injured individuals. Lehighton EMS 5617 arrived on the scene at 7:08 PM and later transported at least one patient to the hospital for further medical care at 7:29 PM. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed at this time.
Traffic in the area was affected as authorities worked to clear the scene and ensure the safety of motorists. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, with more details expected to emerge as officials complete their inquiry.
