Snoqualmie Pass, WA (December 21, 2024) – A fatal wrong-way collision occurred on westbound Interstate 90 near milepost 47, west of Snoqualmie Pass, early Thursday morning. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reported that the crash happened at approximately 6:30 AM in the East Bandera area.
According to WSP Trooper Rick Johnson, an eastbound vehicle traveling in the westbound lanes collided head-on with another vehicle. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was killed in the crash. The second driver sustained injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
