Left-Turn Collisions in Missouri
Left-turn collisions, such as this one on Highway 367, are a common cause of serious accidents and often result from drivers failing to yield the right-of-way. These crashes can lead to significant injuries and substantial damage to vehicles, especially when they occur at intersections or high-traffic roadways.
Emergency responders played a vital role in assisting the injured drivers and clearing the heavily blocked lanes to restore traffic flow. Investigations into left-turn collisions typically focus on driver decisions, traffic signals, and visibility to identify contributing factors.
Drivers are reminded to exercise caution and ensure they yield appropriately when making left turns, especially on busy highways, to prevent these dangerous accidents.
