Phoenix, AZ (December 22, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles Friday night near the intersection of 7th St and Beardsley Rd in north Phoenix.
Phoenix police responded to the scene shortly after 7 p.m. and found 38-year-old Ricardo Arambula with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that a truck struck Arambula while he was in the roadway, causing him to fall to the ground. Moments later, a car also struck him.
Police have not confirmed whether Arambula was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash. The truck driver showed signs of impairment, while the driver of the car did not. No arrests have been made, and charges are pending further investigation, including lab analysis.
We offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased individual.
