Aiea, HI (December 19, 2024) – A multi-vehicle collision on the H-1 Freeway near the Camp Smith off-ramp resulted in six individuals being hospitalized Wednesday evening. The crash occurred on the westbound lanes around 6 p.m.
According to Honolulu EMS, three men, aged 49, 65, and 53, as well as a 44-year-old woman, were transported to the hospital in serious condition. Additionally, a 14-year-old boy and a 75-year-old man were treated for injuries and are reported to be in stable condition. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to provide care and transport the injured to nearby emergency facilities.
No further injuries were reported, and the cause of the collision is currently under investigation. Authorities have not disclosed any contributing factors at this time.
Traffic in the area was significantly impacted as responders worked to secure the scene and assist those involved. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes during the evening commute.
