Richmond, IN (December 17, 2024) – A 61-year-old male bicyclist is in serious condition after being struck by an SUV on West National Road in Richmond just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024. According to the Richmond Police Department, the crash occurred in the 300 block of West National Road when the bicyclist attempted to cross the road and was hit by a westbound SUV.
The driver of the SUV, identified as an 80-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators. The bicyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been fully disclosed.
