Wayne County, WV (December 16, 2024) – Two adult women were killed in a devastating fire late Sunday night along the 2100 block of Spring Valley Dr, according to the Ceredo Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire was reported at approximately 10:40 PM, prompting a response from the Ceredo VFD, Kenova VFD, and the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office. Crews worked to contain the blaze, but tragically, both victims were found deceased at the scene.
The roadway in the area was temporarily closed to allow emergency personnel to work safely but has since reopened.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
