Los Angeles, CA (December 15, 2024) – A motorist sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision in the North Hills area of Los Angeles on Saturday evening. The crash occurred around 4:57 PM at 15100 W. Parthenia St., just west of Kester Ave, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
One of the vehicles involved came to rest in the Pacoima Wash. Initially, firefighters believed the driver was trapped inside the vehicle, but it was later determined that they were not. Firefighters used a litter basket to safely bring the motorist up from the wash.
The injured motorist was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance in serious condition. The individual’s age and gender have not been disclosed. Additionally, another man was assessed at the scene for injuries but did not require transport to the hospital, according to LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Authorities have not released further details at this time.
