Arlington, TX (December 15, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash on the 300 block of N Watson Rd near Division St early Saturday morning has left one man dead and two women critically injured. Arlington police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, which occurred around 1 a.m.
First responders arrived at the scene to find 31-year-old Tyler White and a 42-year-old woman injured on the ground. Tyler White, identified through online records from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The unidentified woman remains in critical condition.
A 31-year-old woman driving a BMW X1 was also critically injured in the crash. Emergency crews extricated her from her vehicle before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
According to police, the accident began when the 42-year-old woman lost control of her 2016 Hyundai Veloster while driving on N Watson Rd and went off the roadway. She reportedly called family members for assistance, prompting Tyler White to arrive and park his 2004 GMC Yukon in the right lane with his hazard lights activated.
As the two stood outside their vehicles, a BMW traveling at high speed collided with them and the Yukon, resulting in a tragic outcome. Police have not ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor and indicated that charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
Our thoughts go to the victims as we hope for their recovery.
