The vehicle was struck on the driver’s side door by a Ford F-150, driven by 28-year-old Matthew Dowdy of Mayfield, with 78-year-old Shirley Tynes as a passenger. The force of the crash left the juvenile driver with severe injuries, and she was life-flighted to an out-of-state hospital for treatment.
The juvenile passenger, along with Dowdy and Tynes, were all transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center ER, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
