Oklahoma City, OK (December 9, 2024) – A tragic crash on I-240 near South Western Ave early Sunday morning claimed the lives of a man and woman. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) identified the victims as 41-year-old Quaylana D. Harris, who was driving, and 37-year-old Casey J. Townsend, who was a passenger.
The crash occurred just after 4 a.m. as the vehicle traveled westbound on I-240. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the road onto the I-240 Service Road before colliding with a tree.
Harris was pinned in the vehicle for 90 minutes, while Townsend was ejected from the car. Authorities confirmed that neither individual was wearing a seatbelt. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The OHP is investigating the cause of the crash, and further details about the driver’s condition before the crash have not been released.
