Beaver Township, MI (December 9, 2024) – A 69-year-old man tragically lost his life in a house fire early Sunday morning in Newaygo County. First responders were dispatched to the 9000 block of West 7 Mile Rd following a 4:25 a.m. report of a fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters and sheriff’s deputies pulled the man from the burning home. Despite performing life-saving measures, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity, pending notification of next of kin.
The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
