Cass County, MO (December 8, 2024) – A rollover crash occurred late Saturday night on Route B, just east of Rush Rd and five miles east of Archie. The incident, reported at approximately 9:29 PM, claimed the life of one individual and left two others injured.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2015 Kia K900 was traveling eastbound when it crossed the centerline, left the west side of the roadway, and overturned. Both the 17-year-old driver and an 18-year-old male passenger were ejected from the vehicle. Tragically, the 18-year-old occupant was pronounced deceased at 10:42 PM at Cass Regional Medical Center by Dr. Jeff Girkin. The driver, who sustained serious injuries, was airlifted to Children’s Mercy by LifeFlight. Another passenger, also 18, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Belton Regional Medical Center by private vehicle.
The crash is under investigation by Trooper D.M. Bradshaw and Trooper J.D. Conrad of the Major Crash Investigation Unit, with assistance from local agencies, including the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and Cass County EMS.
