Montgomery, AL (December 8, 2024) – Montgomery Fire Rescue successfully rescued an elderly woman and a female toddler from a residential fire on Vandiver Ct early Saturday morning. The fire occurred in a one-story home in the 4000 block of Vandiver Ct, with crews arriving on the scene at approximately 7:26 a.m.
The structure was declared a W-3 working fire upon arrival. During the primary search, firefighters located the two victims inside the residence. Both were stabilized on the scene before being transported to a local emergency room for further medical care.
A secondary search revealed no additional occupants, and no injuries to firefighters or other civilians were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Bureau of Investigations.
