Parmer, TX (December 7, 2024) – A fatal crash occurred on US 60, approximately 1.2 miles outside of Friona, on Friday. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS), the incident took place when the driver of a 2012 Sorento failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer. The truck tractor then struck the Sorento on the driver’s side.
The driver of the Sorento, identified as Donald Warren of Hereford, Texas, was transported to Parmer County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts to save him, Warren later died from the injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities noted that Warren was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
