Nanuet, NY (December 6, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred today when an Albany man was fatally struck by a truck in Nanuet. Emergency responders from Rockland County were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:30 AM after reports of a pedestrian being hit by a large truck. Despite efforts from paramedics and fire crews, the victim, whose identity is pending confirmation, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to officials, the accident took place at the Nanuet Shopping Center, located along Route 59. The truck, which had been turning into the parking lot, was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
