According to Chris Page, spokesperson for the Ann Arbor Police Department, a 54-year-old man from Ypsilanti was driving an SUV eastbound on W. Huron Street when he crossed the center line and struck a sedan traveling in the opposite direction. The 25-year-old Ann Arbor man driving the sedan suffered minor injuries but declined to be transported to the hospital.
The driver of the SUV, a 54-year-old from Ypsilanti, complained of chest pain and was transported to the University of Michigan Hospital for further evaluation. The crash caused significant disruption in the area, with W. Huron Street being closed until approximately 10 p.m. while emergency crews cleared the scene and investigated the incident.
