Miami, FL (December 4, 2024) – A violent crash on Krome Avenue in southwest Miami-Dade early Wednesday morning resulted in one person being pulled from the wreckage and transported to a trauma center. The crash occurred around 6:10 a.m. between a tractor-trailer and another vehicle near mile marker 15, close to Southwest 122nd Street.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials quickly responded to the scene, where one adult, identified as a trauma alert patient, was trapped inside the vehicle. Emergency crews worked diligently to extricate the victim, using specialized tools, including cutting the vehicle’s roof to safely remove the person from the wreckage.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue helicopter also responded to the crash site and transported the victim to the trauma center at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. The victim’s identity and current condition have not yet been released, and the incident is under investigation.
