Inguadona Twp, MN (December 2, 2024) – A collision involving two vehicles on Highway 200 at milepost 148 resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to multiple individuals late Saturday afternoon. Emergency responders, including Remer Ambulance, Cass County authorities, and Longville Fire, promptly arrived on the scene to provide care and manage the aftermath of the crash.
The accident occurred when a 2017 Toyota Avalon, driven by Nathanial John Berg, 41, of Menahga, MN, crossed the center line while traveling westbound on Highway 200. The vehicle collided with the front driver side of an eastbound 2014 Ford F150 driven by Steven Dale Hutchings, 55, of Chisholm, MN.
Nathanial Berg sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Deer River for medical care. The Ford F150’s driver, Steven Hutchings, and two passengers, Kerry Ann Hutchings, 51, and Olivia Jean Hutchings, 19, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at Grand Rapids. Two other passengers in the F150, Olivia Hutchings and Erica Ann Hutchings, 22, were uninjured.
Both vehicles’ airbags deployed, and all occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor, and road conditions were reported as dry. The accident is under investigation to determine the contributing factors.
