Fort Walton Beach, FL (November 29, 2024) – A fatal motorcycle crash in Fort Walton Beach on Thursday morning resulted in two deaths. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. when a motorcycle traveling east on Brooks St SE collided with a cinder block mailbox. Upon impact, the motorcycle caught fire.
Fort Walton Beach Police officers responded promptly to the scene, extinguishing the fire and providing assistance to the two victims, a male and a female, who were found lying on the ground. The male rider, identified as 28-year-old Scott Morris from Destin, was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger, 28-year-old Elizabeth Fletcher from Valparaiso, was transported to Florida HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital but was later pronounced deceased as well.
