Rogersville, TN (November 28, 2024) – A tragic two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of 33-year-old Jesse L. Stanton. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reports that Stanton was driving a 1995 Honda Civic southbound on Rogersville Rd when the vehicle collided with a 2018 Ram 2500, driven by 42-year-old Julian A. Estrada of South Carolina. The crash occurred just before 12:45 PM at the intersection of Rogersville Rd and Mt. Carmel Rd, as Stanton’s car, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck Estrada’s truck while it was making a turn into Love’s Travel Center.
Stanton was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Estrada, who was wearing his seatbelt, was uninjured in the crash.
