Zephyrhills, FL (November 28, 2024) – A tragic accident early Thursday morning claimed the life of a 24-year-old man after his SUV collided with debris on a road in Pasco County, causing the vehicle to overturn. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred just after 3 a.m. on Coats Rd, just north of Chancey Rd near Zephyrhills.
The driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling when he struck large tree debris that had been left in the roadway. Following the collision with the debris, the vehicle hit two mailboxes before rolling over. Unfortunately, the driver, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A 20-year-old passenger was in the vehicle at the time but fortunately escaped the crash without injury.
