Vallejo, CA (November 27, 2024) – A tragic three-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon at the intersection of Ascot Parkway and Sterling Street left one person dead and three others injured. The accident occurred around 4:46 PM, according to Vallejo police.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 gray Toyota Solara was traveling north on Ascot Parkway when it crossed the center median and collided head-on with a southbound 2009 white Chevy Traverse. The force of the impact pushed the Traverse into a 1992 blue Nissan Sentra, which was also heading south on Ascot Parkway.
The vehicles came to rest at the intersection, and all involved parties remained at the scene. Emergency responders transported a passenger from the Toyota to a local hospital, where the individual succumbed to their injuries. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, pending family notification by the Solano County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Toyota sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital. Additionally, the driver and a juvenile passenger in the Chevy Traverse also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized for treatment. The occupants of the Nissan Sentra were unharmed.
