Raleigh, NC (November 26, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash that also involved a pedestrian occurred during Monday afternoon’s rush hour on Capital Boulevard/U.S. 1, causing significant traffic delays. The crash, which happened around 4:45 p.m., involved five vehicles and occurred near Brentwood Road.
Raleigh police reported that the crash resulted in the closure of at least three lanes in both directions of U.S. 1. Two ambulances were visible at the scene, and emergency responders worked quickly to assess and treat those injured. Authorities confirmed that the injuries sustained were non-serious for the vehicle occupants. However, the pedestrian who was struck did suffer injuries.
