St. Louis, MO (November 24, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 70 eastbound, west of Jennings Station Road, resulted in injuries to both drivers on Friday afternoon. The crash occurred at approximately 3:05 p.m. and involved a 2002 Freightliner FL80 and a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze
Crash Sequence:
- Vehicle 1 (Freightliner) was traveling in lane 1 when it veered off the roadway to the left and struck a concrete median barrier. It re-entered the roadway sliding, impacting the left side of Vehicle 2 (Chevrolet) traveling in lane 3.
- Vehicle 2 was pushed off the roadway to the right, striking a guardrail.
- Vehicle 1 overcorrected, overturned, and came to rest blocking lanes 1 and 2, facing north. Vehicle 2 came to rest off the roadway, facing east.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol, assisted by Troopers Gillespie, Clair, and Murphy, managed the scene and conducted the investigation.
