Homestead, PA (November 24, 2024) – A two-alarm fire broke out in a multi-residential structure on the 130 block of West 12th Ave, causing significant damage and requiring an extensive response from local fire departments. The fire was first reported on the second division, side Charlie of the structure, with heavy flames visible upon arrival of the first-due engine.
Emergency crews confirmed entrapment upon their arrival, prompting interior teams to begin search and rescue operations. A victim was located and extricated from the structure by firefighters and placed in the care of medics. The extent of the victim’s injuries has not been disclosed.
