Austin, TX (November 24, 2024) – Austin fire crews responded to a severe multi-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Southeast Austin near the intersection of Old Lockhart Rd and E Slaughter Ln, just east of Bluff Springs Rd. The accident occurred around 10:18 a.m. and involved multiple vehicles, including one that overturned.
According to the Austin Fire Department, two individuals were trapped in the wreckage, prompting an intensive rescue effort. Firefighters successfully extricated the trapped individuals, and Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) assessed a total of four patients at the scene.
One adult sustained critical injuries and was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for advanced care. Another adult and a child were transported with injuries, the severity of which has not been disclosed. A third adult suffered minor injuries but declined transport to the hospital.
