Nashville, AR (November 22, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash occurred on AR Hwy 27 near Cassady St around 5:40 PM on Thursday, resulting in one fatality and four injuries. Emergency responders, including Nashville Fire and Rescue, rushed to the scene to assist the victims and manage the aftermath of the collision.

The crash involved four vehicles. According to preliminary reports, a Dodge Caravan traveling east on Cassady St failed to yield the right-of-way and collided with a southbound Peterbilt on AR Hwy 27. The Peterbilt overturned, spilling its cargo onto the roadway. The debris struck two additional vehicles, a northbound Jeep Renegade and a Chevy Trax, traveling on AR Hwy 27.

Melody Kiley, 49, of Blevins, the driver of the Dodge Caravan, tragically lost her life in the collision. Four others were injured, including Hannah Salazar, 28, James Drummond, 18, both passengers in the Dodge Caravan, Vincent Gamble, 48, the driver of the Jeep Renegade, and Kelly Starr, 34, the driver of the Peterbilt. All injured victims were transported to Howard Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Authorities noted that weather and road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing to determine further details about the contributing factors.
