Cullman, AL (November 22, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle accident occurred Wednesday night at the intersection of Hwy 157 and Hwy 31 in Cullman County, claiming the lives of two individuals and leading to the arrest of one driver. The crash, which involved four vehicles, unfolded around 8:29 p.m., according to the Cullman Police Department.
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick identified the victims as Jennifer Dawn Hearld and Billy Herbert Wallace, both 49 and residents of Cullman. They were traveling on a 2004 Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle at the time of the collision.
Authorities reported that the crash began when a 2019 Ford Escape, driven by Felix Thomas Conley, struck the motorcycle carrying Hearld and Wallace. The Ford Escape then collided with two additional vehicles. Tragically, Hearld was pronounced dead at the scene, while Wallace succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.
Following the incident, Conley was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Reckless Manslaughter. The Cullman Police Department continues to investigate the details surrounding the crash.
