Lexington, KY (November 21, 2024) – A tragic crash at the intersection of Georgetown Rd and Capstone Dr on Wednesday evening resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to three others, including two juveniles.
Around 5:30 PM on November 20, the collision involved a Kia Soul SUV and a Dodge Ram pickup truck. Emergency responders transported two adults and two juveniles from the Kia to the hospital. Among them, 39-year-old Brian Huddle of Lexington, the driver of the Kia, succumbed to his injuries. The Fayette County Coroner confirmed his passing at the hospital.
One of the adults in the Kia had initially suffered life-threatening injuries, while the conditions of the other passengers, including the juveniles, remain unclear. The driver of the Dodge Ram was uninjured.
Authorities shut down the outbound lanes of Georgetown Rd at Parallel Dr while investigating the scene and clearing the wreckage. The Lexington Police Department continues investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
