East Butler, PA (November 20, 2024) – Multiple emergency crews responded to a residential fire Wednesday evening at 105 Old East Butler Rd. Initially reported as occurring in Summit Township, it was later confirmed that the incident took place in East Butler Borough. Occupants of the home were in the process of evacuating when the call was dispatched at approximately 8:17 PM.
Upon arrival at 8:25 PM, EN-1-2 crews reported that the two-story residence showed no visible signs of fire from the exterior. Interior crews quickly assessed the scene and advised Command at 8:30 PM that the situation inside was clear. Crews, including TN-10 and EN-1-2, coordinated operations and established connections to ensure fire suppression readiness while maintaining clear access for other vehicles on scene.
Despite the absence of visible flames, one individual required medical attention and was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital (BMH) at approximately 8:52 PM. No additional injuries were reported, and the incident was officially terminated at 9:39 PM. The circumstances surrounding the fire and the extent of any damage remain under investigation.
