Head-On Collisions in Missouri

Head-on collisions, such as this crash on Route P, are among the most dangerous types of accidents, often resulting in severe injuries or fatalities. These crashes typically occur due to factors like distracted driving, impaired driving, or failure to maintain a proper lane. Missouri law emphasizes the importance of remaining vigilant and maintaining control of your vehicle to avoid crossing the centerline.

State authorities work to reduce head-on collisions through traffic safety campaigns and infrastructure improvements like adding median barriers or rumble strips on roadways.

Victims of head-on collisions often face extensive medical treatment, emotional trauma, and financial challenges in the aftermath of the crash. Accessing resources and legal support can be critical in navigating recovery.
