Atlanta, GA (November 17, 2024) – A devastating wrong-way crash on Georgia 400 near Lenox Rd early Sunday morning claimed the life of a young woman and left another driver seriously injured. The northbound lanes of GA 400 were closed as police and firefighters worked to investigate the scene and clear the roadway.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. when Atlanta police responded to reports of a head-on collision. Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old woman, the driver of a Kia Sorento, who was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
A 52-year-old man, the driver of a Toyota Rav4, was also located. Though unresponsive, he was breathing and was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. His current condition has not been disclosed.
