Butler County, MO (November 16, 2024) – A tragic collision early Saturday morning resulted in the death of a pedestrian on Highway 60, approximately 2 miles west of Fisk. The crash occurred at around 1:32 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Reports indicate that a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by a 43-year-old man from Olney, IL, was traveling eastbound on Highway 60 when it struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway. The pedestrian, a 37-year-old man from Scott City, MO, was pronounced dead at the scene by Butler County EMS at 1:50 a.m. The deceased was transported by the Butler County Coroner to the Butler County Morgue.
