Jefferson, WI (November 16, 2024) – A motorcyclist has tragically died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Friday afternoon in Jefferson, according to an update from Jefferson County Sheriff Travis Maze. The crash happened at approximately 2:25 PM on State Highway 89 (STH 89), north of County Highway Q (CTH Q).
Preliminary investigations revealed that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on STH 89 when it was struck from behind by another vehicle. The motorcyclist suffered critical injuries and was transported via Med-Flight to a nearby medical facility, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Emergency response teams, including Jefferson Fire and EMS, assisted at the scene. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
