Keene, NH (November 16, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a cyclist sustained severe injuries in an accident involving an alleged intoxicated driver on West St in Keene, NH. The incident occurred around 2:45 AM and involved James LaPoint, 48, who was struck by a 2010 Toyota Tundra driven by Benjamin Mazzoni, 24, of Londonderry.
Emergency responders transported LaPoint to Cheshire Medical Center for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Following an investigation by the Keene Police Collision Analysis Team, Mazzoni was arrested for driving under the influence and released on a personal recognizance bond. He is scheduled to appear in the 8th Circuit Court on Monday, November 25.
