Mystic, CT (November 15, 2024) – A fatal crash occurred late Thursday night on Interstate 95 northbound in Mystic, leaving one person dead. The incident happened around 10:20 p.m. near exit 88, where state police responded to a collision involving a construction vehicle. Troopers arrived at the scene to find 37-year-old Paul Robert Bigos of Dighton, MA, seriously injured. Despite efforts to assist, he was later pronounced dead.
Bigos reportedly struck the rear end of a construction vehicle that had been parked along the side of the highway. The construction vehicle had been stationary, and no injuries were reported from its occupants.
