Chippewa Falls, WI (November 15, 2024) – A 27-year-old man from Bloomer, Wisconsin, tragically died early this morning in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 40 northwest of Chippewa Falls. The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of the accident. Deputies discovered that Kyle Baker was traveling north when he swerved off the road and entered a ditch. His vehicle then rolled multiple times, and he was ejected from the car.
Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by emergency responders, Baker was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the crash, though the investigation is ongoing.
