Pedestrian Accidents in Missouri
This tragic accident highlights the dangers of crossing highways on foot. While pedestrians have a right to move about, highways like I-70 are designed for high-speed travel, and crossing such roads can be incredibly dangerous. In this case, the pedestrian’s actions, attempting to cross a busy freeway, directly contributed to the collision.
Accidents like these also underscore the importance of safety measures for both drivers and pedestrians. Drivers should always be alert and prepared to stop for unexpected hazards, such as pedestrians, even in high-speed traffic areas. Likewise, pedestrians should take extra care and avoid crossing highways whenever possible, especially in areas not designed for foot traffic.
