Mankato Twp, MN (November 15, 2024) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision involving a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Highway 22 at Augusta Dr in Blue Earth County on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred at approximately 5:22 PM, resulting in injuries to one driver.
According to reports, the Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by 63-year-old Terri Lynn Wendroth of Liberty, NC, was traveling northbound on Highway 22, while the Jeep Grand Cherokee, operated by 49-year-old John Stephen Bomgren of Mankato, MN, was heading eastbound on Augusta Dr. The vehicles collided at the intersection, causing damage to both vehicles, though airbags did not deploy.
Terri Wendroth sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Hospital for medical treatment. John Bomgren reported no injuries and did not require medical care. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and no alcohol involvement was reported.
