Ector County, TX (November 14, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred at the intersection of SE Loop 338 and FM 3503 on Tuesday, November 12, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to a third. The crash was reported around 5:05 PM and involved a 2020 International truck with a trailer and a 2013 Volkswagen Golf.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Volkswagen was traveling south on FM 3503 and failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign as the truck traveled east on SE Loop 338. The truck collided with the Volkswagen, leading to catastrophic results. The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen, identified as 26-year-old Irek Rustem Gumerov of Houston and 20-year-old Kaelee Lee Adams of Cypress, were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Medical Center Hospital for treatment.
