Warsaw, KY (November 13, 2024) – A tragic pedestrian accident occurred Tuesday evening near the Gallatin County Courthouse when two people were struck by a vehicle. The crash was reported shortly after 5 PM at the intersection of US-42 and KY-35.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) stated that a westbound 2018 Ford Escape hit two pedestrians near a crosswalk. Emergency crews responded promptly, and the Gallatin County Coroner’s Office pronounced a 76-year-old woman from Dry Ridge deceased at the scene. An 83-year-old man, also from Dry Ridge, was transported to a medical facility for treatment, though his condition remains unknown.
At the family’s request, the victims’ identities have not been released. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
