Butler, PA (November 15, 202 4) – Emergency responders from Stations 21 and 51 were dispatched Wednesday evening to a rear-end collision involving a tow truck and a passenger vehicle on Rt 228 near I-79. The crash occurred at approximately 7:24 PM and required the evaluation of children in the passenger vehicle by EMS.
Although initial reports indicated unknown injuries, EMS was requested to transport two patients for further evaluation at the parents’ request. By 7:48 PM, one patient was confirmed to be en route to AHN Wexford for medical care. Fire Police remained on the scene to manage traffic while awaiting vehicle removal.
The incident concluded at 8:27 PM, with all units cleared from the area. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
