Sacramento County, CA (November 13, 2024) – A tragic accident on 65th Street claimed the life of a 32-year-old Hispanic woman after she was struck by a vehicle on November 9. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision occurred just before 7:00 PM, north of Florin Road.
Initial reports indicate that the woman was riding her bicycle across the street when she turned into the path of a southbound 2016 BMW. Despite the driver’s efforts to brake, they were unable to avoid the collision. The bicyclist sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on November 10.
The identity of the victim has not been released. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the factors contributing to the collision.
