Roanoke, VA (November 10, 2024) – A man tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on November 8 on Williamson Road Northwest, according to the Roanoke Police Department (RPD). The incident occurred around 11:11 p.m. in the 4300 block of the roadway.
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle and arrived to find a man with critical injuries. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved fled before authorities arrived.
RPD has requested assistance from businesses and residents along Williamson Road, between Epperley Avenue and Hershberger Road NW, to review security footage taken between 11:10 p.m. and 11:20 p.m. Anyone with information or video evidence is urged to contact RPD at 540-344-6681.
