Phelps County, MO (November 10, 2024) – A two-vehicle collision occurred on I-44 westbound near mile marker 195 on Saturday morning, resulting in injuries to two individuals. The crash, reported at approximately 10:28 AM, involved a 2022 Toyota Highlander and a 2023 Kenworth T680.
According to reports, Vehicle 1, a Kenworth semi-truck, struck the rear of Vehicle 2, a Toyota Highlander. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and came to rest in the roadway. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to assist the injured and clear the wreckage.
Two occupants of the Toyota Highlander were injured in the crash. The driver, a 58-year-old female from Highlandville, MO, and a 64-year-old female passenger from Battlefield, MO, sustained moderate injuries. Both were wearing safety devices and were transported to Phelps Health in Rolla for medical treatment.
The Toyota Highlander was towed from the scene by Ron Dishman’s Towing, while the Kenworth semi-truck, which also sustained extensive damage, was towed by Big Boys Towing. The crash is under investigation, with authorities working to determine the precise circumstances leading to the collision.
