Rancho Cordova, CA (November 9, 2024) – A tragic hit-and-run collision near the intersection of Borderlands Dr and Douglas Rd on Friday night claimed the life of one person and left three others injured, including two children. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District (Sac Metro Fire) responded to the crash, reported at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Four individuals were inside one vehicle involved in the collision. One adult victim tragically succumbed to their injuries, while the remaining three—two juveniles and another adult—were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Emergency responders extricated one person from the vehicle due to the severity of the crash.
